BIO
Nikki Yarnell is a New York City-based actor - singer with regional and Off-Off Broadway credits. A graduate of Northwestern University's elite musical theatre program, she earned a coveted place in Northwestern's New York senior showcase as well as an award for Excellence in Music Theatre. During her time at Northwestern, Nikki also performed in a master class with New York casting director Dave Clemmons and was selected to audition for Stephen Flaherty. In addition to her involvement with student theatre, Nikki also had the unique opportunity to study Viewpoints (Anne Bogart and Tina Landau's acting technique) during rehearsal for a mainstage production of Candide supervised by Tony Award-winning director Anna Shapiro.
Now a New Yorker, Nikki has completed improv classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade, film study with Bob Krakower, Shakespeare training with Deloss Brown (NYU, Julliard), commercial training with Brooke Thomas and Mary Egan (HOUSE Productions), as well as the training program at the Atlantic Theater Company where she studied with Karen Kohlhaas. She continues to work regularly with her acting coach Kimberly Vaughn while studying voice with Richard Lissemore (Matthew Morrison's teacher).
Formerly signed with SEM&M as a child, Nikki freelanced as an adult with commercial agent Carole Ingber at Ingber and Associates. Now she is routinely seen by big casting offices such as Telsey, Clemmons/Dewing, Stuart Howard, Cindi Rush, Wojcik/Seay, Mark Simon, and Warner Bros. as well as by individual casting directors like Jamibeth Margolis, Bob Cline, Daryl Eisenberg, Jen Rudin, Judy Bowman, and David Petro. She has also developed relationships with top producing giants Pat Addiss, Jed Bernstein, Rodger Hess, Dori Berinstein, and The Araca Group. Nikki was last seen as Jill Sosmiley in James Rado (Hair)'s Bar Code...The Musical.
